Chess Club

The Chess Club at St Mary's College is open to students of all abilities, from complete beginners learning the game to experienced players looking for a challenge. The club provides a relaxed and welcoming environment where students can play, practise and develop their chess skills while also building problem-solving, concentration and strategic thinking.

Throughout the year, students have opportunities to play against classmates, take part in friendly competitions and represent the school at chess events and inter-school competitions. The club encourages students to learn from one another, develop their skills and enjoy the social side of the game.

Whether you are an experienced player or have never played chess before, Chess Club is a great way to get involved, meet other students and enjoy one of the world’s most popular games. New members are always welcome.
