Dunopoly – Overall Winners of the Senior Category at the Louth County Final of the Student Enterprise Programme

St. Mary’s College are overall winners of the Senior Category at the Louth County Final of the Student Enterprise Programme. The board game ‘Dunopoly’, which five Transition Year students created, will now represent County Louth and their school at the National Final to be held in Croke Park on May 3rd.

The five budding entrepreneurs from St. Mary’s College, Lee Mc Conville, Terence Kelly, Jake Mc Keown, Darragh Jackson and Kian Mc Evoy have designed and developed a board game based upon their inspirational peers from Dundalk F.C.

The five students are avid Dundalk F.C. supporters and have combined their passion for football with innovation and creation in the formation and construction of their authentic board game Dunopoly. They have taken the success and achievements of the local club to inspire them in the creation of the commemorate board game, which encapsulates the spirit of victory and triumph achieved by Dundalk F.C.

The group are so passionate they are in the process of developing their second board game ’No Man’s Land’ which is a trivia game testing the players’ knowledge of Dundalk F.C. and local history.

We wish the students every success at the National Finals of the Student Enterprise Programme and in their future endeavours!
