German Debating

Senior Cycle German students recently travelled to Dunshaughlin to participate in the second round of the Goethe Institute’s Debating Competition. The team comprised of Robert Mee-Lucey, Lauren O’ Hare, Ignas Stanis and Jack Lambert. The motion debated on the night was, Handys sind für den Unterricht nötig (Mobile phones are needed for lessons). Our team, mentored by German language assistant Herr Kronen, argued convincingly against the motion. In a tightly contested debate, we were narrowly beaten by the opposing team. The adjudicator had high praise for our team and we commend them on their hard work and impressive performance. [foogallery id=”10991″]
