TEAM HOPE: Christmas Shoebox Appeal

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

TEAM HOPE is an Irish Christian development aid charity, working with children and through them into their families and communities, mainly across eastern Europe, former Soviet Union and Africa. It is best known for its annual shoebox Christmas appeal, which brings happiness to many children in the remotest and poorest parts of the world. Some of these countries are those such as Belarus, Romania, Moldova, Congo, Burundi and many more.

In St. Marys College, every year students and teachers alike take part in the shoebox appeal. It is a great opportunity for classmates and teachers to work together to create a number of shoeboxes to be donated to this phenomenal charity. Many students and parents have put boxes together, showing how compassionate and dedicated The Marist school community is to our charity work. Students bring in a variety of items;  the four W’s – Wash, Wear, Write and Wow.

Students in the school invested in the much loved annual project. We as students feel, like many, that the shoe box appeal is a fun and worthwhile project that benefits many unfortunate children around the world. We are very proud of the work that the Marist community has put into producing the shoeboxes, and look forward to partaking in this important appeal again next year. We hope to increase our output of shoeboxes in the coming years and encourage more people to donate and take part in the annual shoe box appeal.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_media_grid element_width=”3″ grid_id=”vc_gid:1541632886901-1450fbd5-14ec-5″ include=”10476,10475,10468,10474″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
