Jack chosen to take part in Science Olympiad

TY Student Jack Boylan was one of a select few in the country chosen to take part in the National Science Olympiad in DCU based on his outstanding Junior Cert Science results. Six students are chosen at the Olympiad to represent Ireland in the International Junior Science Olympiad in India and the EU Science Olympiad in Athens.

Based on his excellent Junior Cert Maths results, Jack has also been invited to participate in the 2013 Irish Beaver Computing Contest (IBCC). The IBCC is the Irish branch of Bebras International an online international computational thinking challenge for students in both secondary and primary level schools. The International online competition aims to raise Computer Science awareness and this year Ireland are participating for the first time.
